The AI-powered symptom checker uses a large language model (Llama 3 via Groq) to generate probable conditions based on inputs. These results are probabilistic suggestions, not diagnoses. The same symptoms can have many causes; only a qualified clinician with access to your full medical history and physical examination can make a diagnosis.
Never delay seeking professional medical advice, never disregard professional medical advice, and never rely solely on SymptomSense for medical decisions.

3. Our service
SymptomSense provides:
- A free AI-powered symptom checker
- A health conditions library covering 850+ conditions
- A doctor and clinic finder powered by OpenStreetMap
- An emergency contact number directory for 50+ countries
- General health information articles
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or copy content in bulk without permission
- Use the symptom checker results to provide medical advice to others for commercial gain
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with the proper working of the Site
5. AI-generated content
The symptom checker uses Llama 3, a large language model provided by Groq. AI-generated health content has known limitations:
- It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated
- It does not account for your full medical history
- It cannot conduct a physical examination
- It may miss rare or serious conditions
- The same symptoms may have different significance in different people
We display AI results alongside a clear urgency indicator and advice to see a healthcare professional. You use AI-generated health content entirely at your own risk.
6. Third-party links and services
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including doctor booking platforms, telemedicine services, and national health directories. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or services of any third-party site.
Medical facility data in the doctor finder is sourced from OpenStreetMap, a community-maintained database. We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of this data. Always verify facility details directly before visiting.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and the SymptomSense brand — is owned by or licensed to SymptomSense and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SymptomSense and its operators shall not be liable for any:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of health, life, or wellbeing resulting from reliance on Site content
- Inaccuracy or incompleteness of health information provided
- Unavailability or interruption of the service
- Actions or omissions of third-party services linked from the Site
